Forbes Street Christmas Carnival
Get ready for a night of festive fun at the Forbes Street Christmas Carnival! On Friday, 12 December, Rankin and Templar Streets will transform into a Christmas wonderland from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This free community event is packed with holiday cheer, featuring live music, delicious food, market stalls, and plenty of entertainment for all ages.
Kids will love the rides and the chance to meet Santa, while families can browse unique gifts and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere under the twinkling lights. With Evolution Mining proudly supporting this event, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends and family. Fishing the Lachlan River

Elvis Breakfast
Start your morning in true rock ‘n’ roll style at the Amazing Forbes Street Breakfast! On Friday, 9 January 2026, Templar Street will come alive from 7:00 am to 11:00 am with an incredible lineup of entertainment and delicious food. Enjoy our CBDs cafés, food vans, fresh coffee, and outdoor dining as you soak up the vibrant atmosphere. Best of all, entry is free, making it the perfect community event to kick off the Elvis Festival celebrations.
The entertainment is set to impress, featuring Sydney Swing Katz, Gavin Chatelier, Paul Fenech, Amitie, Sean Luke Spiteri, and even the Blues Brothers! With live music, dancing, and plenty of photo opportunities, this breakfast is more than a meal—it’s an experience. Bring your friends and family, grab a bite, and enjoy the energy of Forbes as it celebrates the King in style.
This year’s King-sized program is filled with dozens of Elvis and Love me Tender themed events. A souvenir program will be available for purchase from Elvis Central, Parkes Visitor Information Centre along with several local retailers..

Christmas Tree Festival in Town Hall
The Festival is organized by the Rotary club of Forbes Ipomoea.
The exhibition of trees, wreaths and wall hangings will be open to the public at the Town hall from 5th-7th December
Friday the 5th December from 1pm-5pm
Saturday 6th December from 9am-5pm
Sunday 7th December 9am-2pm

Party in the Park –
Party in the Park is back for another year at Lions Park, commencing at 6:00pm on Australia day and concluding with the annual fireworks display from Bates Bridge at 9pm.
Entertainment by Greg (Hushy) Hush.
Come down to Lions Park with your family and friends and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of food options to choose from! BYO chair and picnic blanket.
